To Our Brides!

At Designer Loft we are passionate about providing a guided yet pressure free bridal shopping experience. We realize every bride responds differently to the wedding experience, so whether you are decisive on your first appointment or overwhelmed after a flurry of stops, we will do our best to guide you to your dream wedding dress.

Shopping at Designer Loft

Please book your appointment in advance, especially during trunk show weekends, which book up quickly. The average purchase-to-arrival time for new bridal gowns is 5-6 months with an additional 2-3 months recommended for alterations.

Rush brides: We do have special TO GO selections for you! We do work with designers who may have certain styles in stock immediately. However, this may limit your size, color and style selections - so we do recommend ordering at least 12 months out whenever possible.

Confirm your appointment so that we can accommodate you and your guests accordingly.

Bring pictures. It can help us to assist you better. Share with us your vision, questions, concerns, and budget. It will make the process easier for you. Designer Loft also allows you to take pictures in our gowns so you will see how certain styles photograph.

A suggestion about underpinnings – SPANX, neutral-colored undergarments, and a sturdy strapless bra will be really helpful.

Once you have purchased your bridal gown

Discuss your delivery date with your Designer Loft consultant to make sure everything is set.

Don’t hesitate to call for updates but we promise we will let you know the minute your dress has arrived. We know how excited you are!

Once your dress arrives, we will schedule an appointment for you to try it on and collect your dress, or we can ship it to you if needed. Try-on appointments are usually scheduled on weekdays when the store is less hectic and we can focus on you and your newly arrived dress.

We have a list of recommended alterations experts specializing in bridal gowns in NYC, and you are welcome and encouraged to do your own research and select the atelier that best fits your requirements.

Pro tip: Bring your shoes and undergarments to your alterations appointments. Try to approximate what you will wear on your wedding day in terms of heel height and undergarments.

Accessories
We are happy to help you accessorize! . Designer Loft has a full line of bridal accessories, including custom veils, shrugs, jewelry, hair accessories, and more to help you complete your vision for your special day. Accessories appointments are Monday to Thursday 11am-6pm.

Once you have tied the knot
We love to see pictures of our brides. Please send us photos!
